Reports of crappie being caught in the weeds and the walleye seem to be biting in the bay the best bouncing the bottom with leeches or a minnow.
Since I have opend in Sept. I have had 13 fish brought into my shop, that were cought in Lake Gogebic that made Master Angler.

July 11th &12th 2009 8am on 11th to 3pm on12th
fish all day and night if you wish from boat or from shore.
Must fish on Lake Gogebic.
kids 16 and under can win a free fish mount from Nates taxidermy for the biggest Perch and the biggest small mouth bass. Kids 16 and under fish for free for the fish mount contest but must register before contest starts. Kids contest will be length+weight=total points.
All species contest is $30 entry fee
$1000 1st place
$500 2nd place
$250 3rd place
10 fish max for weigh in
no more than 2 fish per species
TOTAL WIEGHT = winner.

It was a great turn out for the first year, lots of fish were caught, which made it fun and interesting. Next years tournament will be for more prize money, so keep it in mind as the year passes.
